Google has officially extended access to its latest AI-powered video generation model, Veo 3, for all Gemini app Pro subscribers globally, including in India. The update was confirmed by Josh Woodward, Google Labs and Gemini app Vice President, via a post on X.
Previously, Veo 3 was restricted to Ultra Plan subscribers and later rolled out to Pro-tier users in select countries. Despite initial absence from the list, Indian users had begun spotting the Veo 3 option in the app. Google has now formally confirmed availability in the Indian market.
Veo 3 is now bundled with the Google AI Pro plan priced at Rs 1,950 per month. This includes a lighter version titled "Veo 3 Fast," which produces 720p videos up to eight seconds long. Google says this variant delivers results twice as fast, with users allowed three videos per day before defaulting to the earlier Veo 2 model.
Meanwhile, the full-featured AI Ultra plan—previously unavailable in India—is now accessible at Rs 24,500 per month, offering extended capabilities.
To generate a video:
1. Launch the Gemini mobile app.
2. Confirm active AI Pro or Ultra subscription.
3. Input a prompt in the text box.
4. Tap More > Video > Submit.
Each generated video includes audio and can be downloaded directly through the app.
First introduced during Google I/O 2025, Veo 3 is designed to interpret complex prompts and generate video with realistic visuals and synchronized sound. It supports narrative instructions, simulates physics, and achieves accurate lip-syncing.
The model also drives Google’s AI filmmaking tool, Flow, which enables Ultra users to create 1080p videos, access advanced camera tools, and expand existing clips.
